i've always been a fan of sufjan. then i saw this. the first time i listend to it i thought, now this is a little weird. but the more i listen to it, the more i love it. it's such a fresh, unique sound tied to timeless themes. great album. i look foward to more from them.

The fact that WALL-E didn't win the sound categories cost me the Oscar pool. Dumb Dark Knight (I never thought I'd be saying that).

You should check out Slumdog ASAP. I think it's still playing in a lot of theaters and I think it's one of those movies you need to see on the big screen.

Glad to hear from you buddy. I am pretty sure I'm not going to seesalt this summer with the church, but I really might end up there with another. I'll let you know and see how things go. You got me flowing some ideas around in my head. We wouldn't even need a season of lent of our hearts weren't so stagnant and apathetic towards the subject of easter.

Ah the good old days. I'm struck by the fact that you can definitely see the seeds of your talent in these first few videos you ever did. You didn't have the bag of tricks that you do now, but they are still quite effective. I can't wait to see where you go from here.

I found this to be some pretty interesting musings for a Spartanburg County boy. Hang in there with the video deadlines. They do have a way of piling up on you and they always take longer than you think they should.

I'll have to check out Jesus wants to save Christians. Has Chris fiished Surprised by Hope? Particularly the last third of the book has provided some interesting fodder for CBF as we encourage individuals to get involved in God's work on earth. It's amazing, particularly in the southern culture, how the driving force for many to become Christian was to avoid hell with little of no thought or engagement in being part of God's grand plan to reconcile the earth (read us) unto God. See ya.

I think the characters are a lot more fleshed out. And it's like the best-reviewed movie of all time. Some people would think it sacrilege that I have it at #5.
