The promo that would never end

I’m fortunate that this is the last time I’ll have to try and simultaneously graduate from college and generate a somewhat staggering amount (at least for one person) of content.  It’s been a struggle.  So, while I’m sitting at graduation tomorrow, suffering under a layer of dress clothes and another layer of graduation robes (not to mention that uber-ridiculous hat), listening or half-listening to President Bush’s commencement address, I’ll probably be thinking about what I can do to fix some awkward camera movement in a title animation.  So…I’ll really be soaking this graduation thing in…

The Chillipepper promo isn’t done, but it’s finally getting there.  Without being able to sit down with it uninterrupted for so long, inspiration was pretty hard to come by.  This is also my first attempt at attacking things with After Effects (as opposed to primarily Apple’s Motion), so I’m having to learn along the way, as well.  And I have learned a lot; for instance, how NOT to do a green screen shoot.  Also, never trust your camera’s on-screen audio levels, because they WILL lie to you.  These are all things that should probably be taken care of by someone with more technical expertise than myself, but we’re on a tight budget.  Anyway, here’s a preview of what is finally coming together.  I’ve shown some stuff from it recently, but pretty much all of that has changed (often drastically, and multiple times), and some of this, too, may change.

There hopefully will be a lot of updates on this new blog in the days/weeks to come.  Without the outlet of college fellowship, I’m looking for ways to stay connected.  I also should have plenty of content, stories, and thoughts to share.  Thanks for reading!
